A spectacle that outdoes any other railroad image ever captured. Stupefying. Magnificent. Unequivocal. Yes, THIS is railfanning, folks!!! The awe-inspiring Metro-North Genesis #205 dwarfs an awe-struck EMD Jerry at the Harmon Shops Open House. Many railfans were completely overwhelmed by the fantastic sights that afternoon and had to be carried away on stretchers. EMD Jerry was able to maitain composure, but his attempt to climb the ladder, enter the cab, and steal this locomotive was thwarted by the watchful plainclothes security men who were lurking in the shadows. Here he is casing the situation while waiting to make his move. |
